KOLKATA: It seems some Bengal cricketers in the IPL just can't keep their fingers from getting in the way of their aspirations.
After a fractured finger ended Knight Riders 'keeper Wriddhiman Saha's hopes of building on last season's inspired show, it's now the turn of state's top batsman Manoj Tiwary to end his run in IPL 2.
The Team Delhi man sustained the injury while fielding during the match against Chennai on Thursday, and indications are that he will miss the rest of IPL 2.
"Immediately after the match, Manoj informed me he is in severe pain and will not be able to play the next game. Today, he revealed that X-ray reports have confirmed a fracture and he needs to undergo surgery.
He will be completely out of action for three weeks," Manoj's coach Manabendra Ghosh said on Sunday.
